We've added a history menu to the current tab's back and forward buttons, so you can jump straight to an earlier page without giving the back button a workout.

A rebuilt navigation model

We've reworked navigation between home pages, websites and PDFs: each keeps its own history, while the tab connects them, so buttons, history menus and actual navigation finally read from the same ledger.

Reworked page lifecycles and resource management

We've brought page creation, retention, switching and closing under clearer ownership, with consistent handling of asynchronous work and cleanup; a closed page should not be called back for overtime by a late message.

Tri-fold animation support

We've given each hinge independent control over its part of the three-panel projection, so both sides can follow their own folding angles instead of squeezing into a two-panel routine.

Opening another app with fewer interruptions

We've replaced the blocking confirmation with a lightweight notice and an “Open” button, so browsing can continue without negotiating with a dialog first.

Back and forward keep their bearings

We've fixed cases on Android and HarmonyOS where successive website navigations broke back and forward behavior; separate steps deserve separate places, even when their URLs look the same.

Returning home finishes loading properly

We've fixed the progress bar sticking at zero after returning home and the back button becoming disabled after reopening the same website; being home should mean the journey is over.

Unresponsive website controls

We've fixed an environment-detection compatibility issue that left buttons and links unresponsive on some websites; buttons are back at work instead of being decoration.

The right Android keyboard for URLs

We've corrected the address field's input configuration so ordinary URL entry no longer requests a privacy keyboard; a web address does not need to dress up as a password.

No repeated certificate prompts for trusted sites

We've fixed repeated confirmations when visiting normal HTTPS websites on iOS and macOS; checking credentials should not mean asking again at every door.

More HarmonyOS stability work

We've addressed resource cleanup and page reconstruction issues found when closing pages, exiting the app and switching between light and dark modes; cleanup deserves a proper finish too.

Removed some entries for features that are not yet available.

A clear privacy choice

First-time setup now offers “Agree and continue” and “Decline”.

Fixed the missing vibration permission on HarmonyOS.

We've also spent time strengthening the browser's foundations this round—thanks for helping us find the rough edges, and keep telling us about them through Settings → Feedback.

Keep the feedback conversation going

We've added conversation threads, follow-up messages and unread reply indicators, so adding one more detail no longer needs a whole new ticket.

A clear start for downloads

We've added a download-started notice with a “View Downloads” shortcut; your file can finally let you know it's on its way.

Fewer pauses while downloading

We've improved file buffering and progress updates to reduce repeated waits during transfers; downloads can spend more time moving and less time filing progress reports.

Lighter tab transitions

We've reduced duplicate screenshots when returning to the overview and repeated rendering preparation on Android; one page no longer needs to pose twice.

A choice when a certificate is untrusted

We've added a certificate warning that shows the destination and lets you cancel or continue; visiting your own test site now comes with a clear decision point.

Stray touches no longer steer tab animations

We've fixed touches outside a moving tab unexpectedly taking over its animation, while keeping intentional tab gestures available; passing fingers no longer get the wheel.

HarmonyOS error tabs return to live content

We've fixed error pages staying behind a blurry preview after reopening them from the overview; once the real page is back, its stand-in can leave.

Open downloaded files on Android

We've completed the handoff to system apps and fixed errors when opening downloaded APKs; finishing a download should not leave the file stranded at the last step.

More complete privacy counts

We've fixed blocked-tracker counts being lost for background tabs or after reloads; changing pages should not erase the tally.

WeChat sign-in and account linking have been removed on iOS. They remain available on Android and HarmonyOS.

Returning to the tab overview

We've removed a duplicate screenshot capture during the transition, leaving less work competing with the animation; one page no longer needs to pose twice.

Android tab transitions

We've reduced repeated work in the browser engine's rendering path when entering and switching tabs; the engine can spend more time drawing and less time setting the stage.

Fold animation in portrait

We've corrected the reversed projection directions of the upper and lower halves when folding the inner screen in portrait, including upside-down portrait; both halves now know which way to bow.

Feedback as a bookmark

The feedback entry now lives as a slim tab on the screen edge: hover on desktop and it slides out the word Feedback, tap and you're talking, and dragging shows the label before it snaps back to the nearest edge. Settings keeps a Feedback entry too.

We've added a Contact the Developer entry in Settings for ideas and conversations; now you know which door to knock on.

A little introduction

We've added an optional question about how you discovered Inling during onboarding, with a skip option; meeting us shouldn't require homework.

Faster tab interactions

We've put several rounds of work into background rendering, screenshot handling and page handoffs, lightening the load when opening the overview, entering tabs, swiping between them and adding new ones. In our accumulated measurements, average frame rates for entering and adding tabs came out at roughly 2.52× and 2.43× their original levels, with swiping up to the overview, switching right and switching left at roughly 1.36×, 1.23× and 1.17×; flipping tabs should feel more like turning pages and less like waiting for a decision.

Stepping aside while you scroll

The feedback bookmark fades along with the bottom bar as you browse, so it stops sitting on top of the text.

Cleaner preview handoffs

We've reworked preview handoffs for home pages, websites and PDFs so screenshots stay until the actual content is ready; both sides finally know the cue.

HarmonyOS screen corners

We now fit full-screen tabs to the device's actual corners when the system supplies that information, keeping the existing appearance otherwise; different screens shouldn't have to wear the same shoes.

Pages that stopped responding after a switch

We've fixed cases on Android where returning to a loaded tab left a blank screen, a stuck preview or an unresponsive page; pages are back at work instead of just standing there.

Old pages flashing during a switch

We've fixed old home pages or screenshots briefly showing when swiping between home and web tabs; the previous page now knows when to leave the stage.

Content jumping down during a handoff

We've restored the top safe area around web screenshots and used the destination tab's own background color; previews and live pages now start on the same line.

Blank previews after rapid switching

We've stopped temporary blank pages from replacing existing screenshots before the destination loads; the overview can stop passing off a blank sheet as a website.

Android and HarmonyOS stability

We've fixed crashes from late messages during rapid tab switching on Android and context errors when closing the app and releasing web pages on HarmonyOS; cleanup has to finish its shift too.

Feedback without signing in

We've completed the anonymous feedback flow, fixing login redirects when opening the page and redirects to a login-only list after submitting; saying something feels wrong no longer needs an entry pass.

Tab gestures

We've trimmed extra work from opening the overview, switching tabs and adding new ones, so the interface can spend less time thinking about your swipe.

A cleaner bottom bar

We've added a gentle background gradient to the overview and regular bottom bar, giving the controls a little breathing room.

Notebook details

We've aligned the page with the app's shared design and given card shadows room to breathe; no more squeezing into a homemade outfit.

PDF imports on HarmonyOS

We've fixed importing PDFs selected through the system file picker, so your reading material can stop waiting at the door.

Compilation flow

We now take you to the learning tab after you confirm compilation and hide the compile action for sources already compiled; once is quite enough paperwork.

Tab switching

We've fixed interrupted swipes, a bottom bar that repeatedly expanded and collapsed on HarmonyOS, and errors when quickly closing a new tab; the controls have retired their improv act.

Previews and menus

We've stopped failed preview captures from turning healthy pages into error screens and removed the shadow left behind when the options menu opens; fewer false alarms and ghostly leftovers.
